Two Books Illustrated by Ron Mazellan (Class of 2008) Win Awards

Ron Mazellan's (Class of 2008) work has been recently noticed by two awards organizations.

You Can Be A Friend, written by Tony and Lauren Dungy and published in Jan. 2011 by Simon & Schuster Children's Publishing - Little Simon, won the NAACP's award for Outstanding Literary Work - Children.

Irena's Jar of Secrets, written by Marcia Vaughan and published in Nov. 2011 by Lee & Low Books, was one of eight books named for the 2012 Sydney Taylor Honor Book Award by The American Jewish Libraries.
