Ryan Maguire (Class of 2012) Sketches Occupy Boston

Ryan Maguire (Class of 2012) submitted his sketches of Occupy Boston to The Boston Occupier, which then featured them on their website. Says Ryan, "The drawings were an exercise in using illustration as a vehicle to raise awareness of social issues. The drawings, neither pro nor con of the movement, were intended to create visual interest in the event and inspire people to learn more about the situation happening at Dewey Square, and across the nation. Knowing that it was temporary environment, from an artist/teacher point of view, it was invaluable to document the event through drawing as illustrations allow the viewer a different experience in interpretation and imagination versus traditional photography/video coverage."
