An Animated Thanksgiving from faculty Zina Saunders

This week faculty Zina Saunders gives us a gruesome Republican Thanksgiving in her weekly editorial animation for Mother Jones. She warns that if the gore horrifies you, it's her dad Norm Saunders' fault: she spent her youth watching him paint Mars Attacks and Civil War bubblegum cards, planting in her a seed of fascination with all things grisly!

Last week's installment, covering the court's decision to block the FDA from requiring tobacco companies to put graphic warning labels on their cigarette packages, hits a personal note as well. Zina's father died of emphysema, and she was a heavy smoker for many years before finally managing to kick the habit.
